  • Detailed Description of the Problem
So my problem is, that i've installed the CR4, read the nand, created and wrote the ecc, but when I power it up it won't boot XeLL. I've played around with the DIP settings and the postbit jumper, but it didn't seem to help. I've also tried to rewrite the original nand and it worked fine so the problem isn't with the nand reading/writing. I think the solders are good too. I might have missed something.
  • Was the console working before you started: Y
  • Do you get a green debug light appear on the CR4 XL chip every 4-5 seconds: Y, but it behaves strange
  • How long is the light on for each time
I've read tremendous amount of guides and threads, but I didn't find anything like my case. Sometimes, usually when it is cooled down for a long time, the green light blinks normally every 4-5 seconds, but after about 10 blinks it turns off. Sometimes the debug led just turns on and turns off after a minute or two. And finally sometimes it doesn't even turn on.

Thanks in advance.

look at your dips, - maybe its the lighting on the picture but it looks like you have all on and 3 &8 off

you want them all off and 3 & 8 on

and it wouldnt do any harm to remove the blue wrire , tidy the loose ends up and resolder it nice and tidy

also trim all the wires as short as they can go.

try the post bit jumper on the other side (not the middle)

Postfix adapter Is fake. Check if needle is fitting properly.
Insomniac is right, you have all dips on wrong side, just flip all of them.
Maybe retouch c5r11 cpu_rst. But everything seems good. Dips should solve that.

Thanks for the replies. The DIPs are good, it's only the lighting. I will clean up the cpu_rst and check the postfix adapter then.

It works! I cleaned the cpu_rst and reinstalled the postfix adapter and now I have the CPU key. Thanks guys. I'm really happy now. :D
