I thought you changed it in your settings? Im on tapatalk so i cant see it now but when you put in "retirement ends soon" that changes the vip banner like frayed is "a**h**e" I dont think tapatalk will have a setting to put it back the standard veiw should.Somehow I bet if I was to advertise anything I'd be nailed because I don't have a "VIP" banner. That was obviously removed intentionally. Maybe I'm just a little bitter about what happened or maybe I just know to well about the way things work. Notice frayed no longer has his banner anymore either.
Hey took your advice on the temp range but still no nand read. Can i send my board to you? it seems you are closest to me. none of the pads are lifted. If you have a soldering iron with a digital temp then set it to 320-340 C. Make sure it is clean and add a little flux to the tip. Flux the bridge and reflow the points. With any luck, you'll clear the bridge and the extra solder will transfer to the iron.
Ok john this is it.u repeated what I just said/ until he clean that mess up hes not reading anything
this is bad stop and send it to someone before u kill it that soldering not gonna cut itOk john this is it.
that's fine to uLooks fine to me. Wires are a little long, maybe that's what John is seeing. If it's still not recognizing it then it's probably an in compatible SD reader.
when he goes to remove them wires I can see pads getting lifted and traces broken/ I would cut wires down clean use flux and u should have nice joints to them padsI don't see any bridges. So what's wrong with it?
Maybe but he did manage to remove the QSB without damage and that's 10 times harder to do then heat up the wires and remove one at a time.when he goes to remove them wires I can see pads getting lifted and traces broken/ I would cut wires down clean use flux and u should have nice joints to them pads
qsb are easy to remove with the right equipment :cool2:Maybe but he did manage to remove the QSB without damage and that's 10 times harder to do then heat up the wires and remove one at a time.
couple of wires look like they bridged to me or touching the others padSigh......... 9 times out of 10 it's a reader issue. The length of the exposed wires has 0 tondo with it. I've squad this before that my worst soldering is when I install my JRP wires. It doesn't matter what the hell it looks like as long as there is a solid connection.
And to eliminate that possibility he should measure continuity on the points you circled. I can see why you think that but I don't think it's an issue. I believe it's the lighting.couple of wires look like they bridged to me

Suggesting someone to measure continuity is better than insulting them time Andrew time by telling them how bad it is when I and yourself has seen much worse. Be constructive and not destructive.

. I have read in the forums that this one works well.I measured continuity between solder points and they are all good. Are there any other steps that i can take to troubleshoot this problem?Yes it's safe to measure continuity. That's why I suggested it. You'll read it as a closed circuit if there is a short. Be it a beep, ~0 ohm reading or similar. Find out what your meter does first by touching the leads together. What ever happens then, that's what it will do when you measure on the console. And that's the exact same reader I use. Works great for me.
