Hello,

I have installed CR4, Corona 4GB-V4 QSB, Post fix adapter. I tried glitching the console using J-Runner, the program reads nand and writes it fine. I was able to take full dump of my nand. I followed the tutorial and settings in the link below to install CR4, adapter and QSB.

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?148398-Corona-V6-XBOX360E-CR4XL

Everything goes fine tillcreate and write ECC. JR programmer gives confirmation of task completed but when I try to boot the console, there's beep sound from my console, there green blinking light in CR4, the fan spins after 8 to 10 blinks in the green light, fan spins faster than ever and my console turns off.

However, when I flash the original/stock dump, my console restarts same as usual with no beep sound or any problems. Also, there's a red light in CR4 indicating there's power supply in CR4. Also, in order to restart my console, I will have to remove the SD card cable from the QSB otherwise the system wont start even if I have put the switch n card reader to XBOX.

Please help me understand what I am doing wrong and how I could resolve the issue.

  • Console Type: Corona v6
  • Programmer Used: Corona 4GB - V4 QSB
  • NAND Size: 4GB
  • Dashboard version: 2.0.17150.0
  • CB Version: 13182/Not sure
  • Detailed Description of the Problem
  • Was the console working before you started: Y
  • Do you get a green debug light appear on the CR4 XL chip every 4-5 seconds: Y
  • How long is the light on for each time: Green light 8-12 blinks

Thanks.

Thank you for replying back. I did as instructed, shortened the length of wire and soldered them again. Please check the latest image and J-Runner image. There was no change, the console starts with bleeps. Every time CR4 glitches there is a beep sound. This goes on till I turn off the console. Please help me by letting me know what I am doing wrong.

I also noticed that some people get below message in J-Runner after creating ECC and then writing ECC. But if you see my J-Runner images, I do not get the message, it directly says "Writing to D:\ from C:\Users\bazar\Desktop\CR4_RGH2+\RGH2_ECC\CORONA_4GB.ecc" and then Done.

Message that others get:

Version: 10
Flash Config: 0x00043000
Writing Nand
image_00000000.ecc
Done!

I have tried writing Stock ECC, that is image_00000000.ecc and ECC from below thread.

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?147878-Xecuter-CR4-XL-Magic-SMC-Files-for-RGH2

Nand Chip: Toshiba
RAM Chip: Samsung

In one of the threads, I have seen someone asking about Ohms for C-Slot in CR4. I have checked that with wires kept installed, multimeter set to 200k Ohms and found the reading to be 108.6. I do not know if all these information is required but thought of providing it so that I can get quick response and fix to my problem. I have waited too long for CR4, finally got it and installed it but stuck at the moment. Please, please help me sort this issue.

Check to make sure your ribbon cable is properly seated on your ROL board. I assume you're using it to power on the console since you're not using kiosk. That may explain the beeping.

Also, measure the resistance with a multimeter between ground and pad C on the CR4 with the console off. You should get between 60-70k ohm. If not, your postfix may not be seated correctly.

Thank you for the reply. I have checked the reading by setting multi meter to 200K, red rod on Pad C which has yellow wire installed to it which is soldered to slot 5 in postfix adapter. The black rod to Ground pad in CR4/any console steel part gives a reading of 108.8.

Yes, I am using the front start pannel which is connected via a strip to start the console. The bleeping sound is made only when I write ecc file, on stock nand it works flawlessly. No beeps.

Thanks for your help. Waiting for your reply. Also, if possible, please let me know what you mean by KIOSK..

Kiosk is the ability to start the console through rater/jrp through jrunner. (without the ROL board attached.

Also check what kind of ram is on the motherboard please
In place of Hynx, I have Toshiba.

Ram is from Samsung. These are the chips surrounding my C/GPU.

Thanks for the help guys. Really appreciate it.

Also, is the reading (108.8 between Slot C and Grnd) that I have mentioned, correct? Is my setup correct?

Nowhere
with the samsung ram you might want to give the winbond patches a try.

You might have noticed there are 8 total jumper switches.

The tutorial states that dip 8 is a toggle between corona and trinity.

Try some other settings ffs.

Guys,

I hope you have seen all the images above. So, first of all, please confirm if all the wiring was done correctly and the installation of CR4, postfix adapter and 4GB QSB is good and no changes are needed to it.

With CR4 installed and stock nand written to the console, my XBOX boots up immediately and silently. No issues here.

When I write ECC to nand and start the console, it makes buzzing/beep sound continuously with small intervals in between. The glitch light (green) blinks and after few blinking the fan speed increases and then console turns off itself.

I have tried trunning on Dip 3,4,6,8 but result is same. Xell do not load. I have also tried winbond patches by selecting the Patches/Dashlaunch tab in jrunner and checking the win4gb patch option.

Like I have said earlier, I J-Runner do not show Version: 10
Flash Config: 0x00043000
Writing Nand
image_00000000.ecc
Done!
like it shows to others that I have seen in video tutorials while writing ECC. I do not know whether this is a normal thing or not. Please let me know this as well.

Please tell me what dip setting I should try or guide me to tutorial or thread explaining the dip settings.

Now, I used the old version of JRunner V0.3 (5) and wrote ECC. There is no more buzzing/bleeping sound but XELL do not load.
