I am hoping someone out there can help me get through this. I had everything up and working on my xbox for many months now. After coping over backed up games from my laptop to the F drive (11 gig worth), I started having these issues. Here is my configuration:

v1.6
X3 Bios version X3 1959
I had all my apps and games on the F drive.
Using Xbmc

After copying my backed up files to the F drive, I rebooted the xbox. It came up with a screen saying "X3 1959 - Enter password" So I enterd "xbox" and hit the Y button. The machine then tried to boot and got an error saying the HOME tag in the XBMC xml fie was bad. That's becuse xbmc and everything else is on F, and F is no longer accessable. I can see it when I FTP to it, but there are no files listed???

I think my F drive is corrupt, but because the eprom is looking there to load the dash, it just hangs or gets an error.

One side note I noticed is that when I press the white button after entering the password at boot, it loads the Config screen, but the graphics in the background are VERY slow moving and it won't allow me to choose any of the options. The Blue hard drive light is on steady the whole time. It's almost like it's busy trying to get the F drive.

How can I basicaly start over with this box? I want to clear everything and even reformat the drive, but I can't do any of that through the Config screen.

I should note that I tried flashing the newest (x3 3283 v16plus) bios to the chip, but it hangs at "Rox My Box" screen. I did this to see if I could clear the eprom using the A, b, x, y keys down when booting. It did not work.

Any ideas???

x3cl access that is slow usually points to a corrupt c drive or bad hdd. It could also be your lba48 settings.

If you can get into cl and navigate through the menus you can format the drives from within cl. If not you are going to have to make a boot disk and try to format with either evox, avanetprep, or xbpartitioner.

good luck
