Im having a promblem with my xbox, i installed 2.6 XECUTER with 3935 evox dashbord, everything ok, able to load back up games and it worked,i also was able switch off and on chip, so then i tried installing a 120hd and there where my promblems started, i did every thing step by step and i guess i did something wrong and cant figure it out, so i installed old hd and it boots evox but wont read any games,even if i turn chip off it tells me to call xbox no error codes, and when i use evox it tells me it cant read disk, know i dont have any app installed on old hd thats the reason why i wanted 120hd, i am really stuck, my dvd drive wont read anything no more so i cant upgrade hd no more, is there a file missing or what should i do, any help would really help, thanks [email protected]

If the xbox doesnt work without the chip, then that means you screwed your xbox some how.

i could have screwed it up but my only promblem is my dvd drive wont read nothing, i guess my problem started when i created a boot disk to rep hd, i think i did something wrong in the ini file and know its there in the xbox and wont let the dvd drive work, know could i add like a dvd app to my old drive? because when i boot xbox with chip on i dont get no setting that will let me load cd with.thanks

did you lock the HDD after installing?
Does your dvd rom read a boot up disc?
Are the cables seated securely on mb and dvd rom? What type of drive have you got?
What type of media are you trying to read?

is your hard drive set to "cable select" ?
does it load an ms original game from disk when chip enabled ?
make sure all the connections are in place and try booting a boot up disk , if you are able to boot it up it means theres a software problem and not a hardware problem . which can be probobly fixed .
if not there might be a problem with your dvd rom - try using a different media and make sure you burn it as slow as possible .
