Hey im currently trying to upgrade my zyphyr to the newest dash. The person I bought it from said to treat it like a falcon due to the cb of it being non-exploitable as a zyphyr.

Unsure how he did it, but all i know is that it worked.

onto my problem, to make a long story short I messed it up, it will only boot into e-79 error.

So i tried to solder nand-x in and put the original freeboot back in.

I cannot seem to detect a flash controller though. I have tried shortening the wires, multiple power bricks etc.

I have been searching for an answer for hours, and all i seem to find is that soldering is the main issue.

I will upload pictures of my soldering to see if i made any errors.

I am using the method directly into the motherboard.

Could burns be the issue?

Are you sure the nandx is hooked up to them right? Soldering looks ok as long as the wires arent touching each other...
First I would like to say thank you for helping me out, havent really mentioned it in the first post.

Yes it is connected correctly with both lights on. Im colorblind so i cant tell you the colors. Do they change if theres an error?

umm some things i believe could be the problem:

Yesterday I had it working and accidentally turned it on while it was plugged into my computer, could that have damaged something?

Also i wrote xell to it yesterday and then xellous, ive heard problems from people doing that.

Also this is jtaged by the aud clamp i believe. The jtag wire is connected to the dvd drive.

"I have been searching for an answer for hours, and all i seem to find is that soldering is the main issue."

Looking at the pics, I'd say it's your main issue too.

Is there no-one you know who can solder?

We'll need to see the bottom of the board to determine what SMC you should be using. However the first issue is detecting the NAND-x.

Question: If you're colourblind, how do you know you have the right wires?

Once i can connect nand-x im pretty sure im set, but help after would be very greatful.

Also i think i have the wires correct because i took them from the pin placement.

I will ask someone here to verify.

Edit: just realized that after i posted haha

Just verified and the wires are in the correct spots.

So did you check to make sure the point you've spliced into the DVD cable has continuity with the point on the bottom of the board?
Yes they are through, but i have trouble writing the nand back.

Doesn't the jtag wiring not matter because all im focused on is the nand?

Im just curious.

Ive tried 3 times at resoldering, is there any possible way that my xbox cant read the nand anymore? or should i keep on trying.

I heard the the pin heads are better at establishing the connection. Its just that it takes like 10 minutes to unsolder one hole.
