Ive got a xenon which is jtaggable. Ive tried using th qsb's, my soldering was bad with them though so I took them off and went for a direct wire install which I also messed up. So I decided to use the ends of some diodes and push them through the holes an tack the wires to them, the connections were nice and shiny this time and I didn't over do it with the solder, still same error. So I removed the ends of the diodes but then I saw that the copper pads had been burnt. So I used some of the pads from the top (the good ones) and some from the bottom of the board. I also used the alternate point on the orange wire as the pads were burnt on both sides for that one. All of the connections look good and shiny but still getting "could not detect a flash controller". I've tried 2 different PCs also. I did have the cables plugged in but the xbox powered off, and the rol was connected. Oh and I'm using coolshrimps JTAG Tool 2.20.
I'm really stumped with this one. Do I need the fan attatched? Or the DVD drive? This really is driving me insane, does anybody know of a reputable person in the UK that I can send my box to so they can have a look at it and maybe figure out what I'm doing wrong/ JTAG it for me?
