I own a nas drive and am curious if the autoloader could have an ftp or even a nut capability so i could load my xci directly from my server... i see the sxos has ftp on off could you implement into the bootchain an ftp protical then bring up a simple setting added to the menue of the bootscreen or in settings of the boot screen via holding the vol+ the most i've heard is it wouldnt be fast enough.... i think it would as i have gigabit ethernet and also 5gz wifi for the house so in a sence it could even load wirelessly threw the 5gz i get over 50Mbps. the switchs sd card slot any quicker... if you were on wifi with a nas connected globaly. youd have your collection everywhere.. i think this has potential. can it be done? i just know my sd card ids indeed slower than my 5gz and my gigabit net. abd all my xci stuff works on it np, its a sandisk reg 128gb my nas i 4tb but i can make it into 2 2tb pieces for this experement..... i just need a developer who can code to implent it into sx os....... i would like to take my library and just go sign into my nas and auto load the crap out of it.....

That will probably not happen. Trying to mount games over your network is asking for a ton of issues. Latency being a huge one. Not to mention corruption if your network, NAS or Switch disconnect while you have a game mounted. Adding access to do that from outside your house will make things even worse. You can can access your NUT server just by opening the port in your router to access your collection anywhere. Just going to be absurdly slow unless you have insane upload speed.

wonder if my idea had anything to do with the update to sx installer? if so at least I was heard... being able to copy the xci to my switch then mount it is cool now that it can be done via samba.
