couldn't flash newly downloaded 3108 bios

Just installed the Xecuter 3. Downloaded x3_3108 bio. Turn the xbox on. Enabled network flashing. Got the IP address from the next screen. From my XP IE got on the Xbox it says "Xecuter FlashBIOS v3.0.0". I made sure the switches are on on off off off. Then try to upload and flash the new x3 bio. Only got "The page cannot be displayed" page back.

Also tried to flash via cd and dvd, both -r and -rw, only got
Found BiosUpdate: \BIOS.BIN
Unknown flash! Halting

I read tutorials about flash and burning the bios on the dvds. Tried to follow everything to the letters. Could not get any further. Need Help!

smae deal here new 3108 bios flash failure

hey got a workin x3 for long time... i got the new bios never changed any switches.. never protected bios... i know the flash works cause did one five minutes before and it worked great... but on mine it acts like it is flashing goes thru the whole deal .. shuts down then when i reboot i get FRAG...


question is... IS CHIP DEAD AFTER ONE BAD FLASH... I CAN GET TO BACKUP TRY TO FLASH AGAIN AND SAME ERROR EVERY TIME... I EVEN TRIED TO GO BACK TO OLD X3 BIOS... USING A KNOWN GOOD CD-R IN A PHILLIPS THAT I KNOW READS IT I USE IT ALL THE TIME DOIN OTHER PEOPLES MODS... BUT TO NO AVAIL STILL frag......

Sound like I should get an older version of x3 bio?

The problem solved! First of all, downloaded an older version 3029. With this verion, the network flashing started but indicated that bio switch was on. We knew the external switch was at off position. So we reopened the xbox and changed the bio protection switch position on the mod chip. That's all.
