LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM couple of questions about modded drives

hey everyone i was just wondering if i have a slim with a lite-on DG-14D4S can i get a unlocked one (same model) flash that and put it in my slim.
also is there a way to make sure that its the drive i have as i don't have the top part of my disc drive anymore.

oh and also is there different versions of the Lite-On DG-16D4S ?

There's a few different ones. Most likely your going to need a LTU replacement board. Check this list, http://www.360drives.com/list

hook the drive up to jungleflasher that will tell you what drive yes you can just buy an unlocked complete drive and no you dont have to solder a LTU board.most the questions have all been answerd in threads and stickies

yeah i know what drive i have and i dont have the tools to hook my drive up yet waiting on my X360USB Pro v2 so i can flash a few drives and sorry for asking questions that have been answered before
