So I just completed my install of a CR rev B and DemoN on a Trinity.
I just wanted to ask a couple of questions.
I have flashed a modified NAND via J-Runner and have changed the key vault to prevent being banned if my console happens to connect to Live by mistake.
I play on Live a LOT, so I don't want my console to get banned if I can help it. (I know the risks of doing what I did... but just want to take every precaution)
I used a rev B CR. I found a thread from Xecuter about updating xsvf files and soldering from the CR_EN on the DemoN to the corner pin on the CR.
I soldered to that pin and flashed the file.
My console SEEMS to be doing everything it should.
I can boot on stock and connect to live and all seems well. I have an internal hard drive with game saves, my profile, etc.
Then when I boot to the DemoN's NAND I get the same dash (haven't changed to FSD yet) but have locked access to LIVE via the parental controls.
I have a 4gb flash card from another RGH console that I did a long time ago and sold without the flash card.
I had XeX menu and a couple XBLA games on it along with a dummy profile that all show up on the DemoN nand once booted.
1: When I scan for storage, I am presented with both my hard drive and the flash memory in the modified nand.
However, I am only presented with the hard drive on stock.
Am I risking being banned if I end up saving game saves to the hard drive while playing on the DemoN nand?
2: I'm assuming that the xsvf file and the solder point from CR_EN worked correctly because I am able to hop back and forth between DemoN and Stock? Should the red light on the CR always be on, even in Stock?
(I thought I read somewhere that the CR_EN toggled the CR on/off. Maybe that just meant it only attempts to glitch when on DemoN, but is always receiving power)
3: I booted my console up several times while testing glitch times without my DVD drive installed into both stock and modified. Did not actually connect to the internet without the DVD drive installed though.
I read somewhere that it is possible to be flagged if console is booted without a DVD drive. I assumed that they meant actually connecting to Live.
4: If I have my DemoN connected to my computer via USB to flash NANDs and whatnot... and somehow the Xbox power button gets bumped (these slims will boot if so much as an eyelash touches the power button!), am I going to damage my DemoN?
5: Is it safe to boot stock NAND, do updates, etc... all while the 4gb flash memory card is connected to the mobo with .ini files, XeX menu, etc installed on it?
I think that sums it up.
This DemoN is AMAZING! Also, the DGX was a godsend!
