Hi to all, I have read a lot, but i still am confused. I have done 4 Slim consoles with no prob at all and this is my first Jasper, when it came to me it did not boot at all. It was programmed with Glitched Nand and had a chinesse chip on it. Well As i only use CR, i desoldered the chinesse chip, de soldered all cables and used TX ones for PHAT.
Ok there were a couple of remarkable things.
R7R17 Resistor was blown, and a 1/4 watt 10Kohm resistor aded by the owner, and also it was soldered to alt point, the one on the top.
Also FT6U7 was very damaged, so i scrapped for an alt point, just followed the alt points in the right TX forum post.
No success at all.
So I started to do it from the begining. I asked the owner to give me the original nand dump and the cpu key.
Desoldered al cables and reflashed original Nand.
RROD and 0022 Subcode // 7 sec for RROD
So it seems to be CPU PLL BYPASS, ok I measured the R7R17 rest and it only gave me 45 Ohm... so i replaced it with 10k one...
Then measured again and the same 45Ohm... strange...
Strarted to check continuity here and there, just to get a clear idea of ehat was going on.
To my surprise, PLL BYPASS is grounded... WTF!!??
is normal to be grounded??
even without rest??
I have read it might be a dead CPU, because owner told me he got it to boot 3 times and now it does not boot at all, and Martin C has told somebody that got his console to boot also 3 times he killed his CPU and , and i want to know if the jasper I have, has the same diagnostic...The main difference is that i have not used a cap at all...
I am not an ace in electronics, but my level is average i think...so what i am trying to get is if there is any bridge on the nearby area...but i am kinda hopeless...
Thanks in advance.
