This is the information about my console:
Console Type:Falcon (v1 Aug.2007 / v2 Aug.2008)
NAND size: 16MB
Dashboard version: 2.0.16547.0
CB version: 5774
DVD Drive: Benq
SATA: ?

Hi
I got an answer in a previus post (using RGH2) about retrieving the CPU key from my console. But I was wondering if there is an easyer way of retreving the CPU key.

Can this be done:
Assuming that I have access to a console with Xell. Is it possible to place the CPU from my console to the console with Xell. Then boot the console into Xell and read out the CPU key?

It would make life much easyer.

Regards

This is something which is answered by reading my RGH Roadmap for noobies and LDV sticky. Combine the two and provided you ingest the information on both, it will answer your question for you.

Hi
Thanks for the answer.
I have found "RGH Roadmap for noobies" that you wrote, but the LDV stickey I cannot find. I searched for LDV and nothing showed up. I have also searched the different sections, but could not find it.
Could you please guide me in the right direction to where to find it.

@ Game_Over:
Doh...stupid me...thanks for pointing this out!

@ Utmad:
I dont know. That is what I am trying to figure out. However - reading at the Stickies, I have come to this conclusion...please let me know is this is wrongly understood.
As I seee it, it all comes Down to "fuseset 2". My CB version is 5774. I need a console with CB version 5770 or earlier to install Xell. The working console can have a Dashboard going from 15572 to 16547, as it is within the CSEQ 12 range. but as the CB versions cannot be the same, I cannot swap the CPU.

Correct?

I know, they are stored in the CPU, so they have to match to make a swap.

it's very easy to retrieve CPU key from Falcon via RGH2. CPU swap makes sense only if you have spare JTAG'able CPU, want to have permanent reliable freeboot machine, you have equipment (BGA rework and reball stations) and a lot of free time.
What you suggest is a bullshit, doesn't make any sense and won't work.

Yes - you are right. I was just investigating the possibility, and it turned out that it is the wrong road to go.

'they have to match to make a swap'. What???

You're missing the point by about a MILE. THe exploit type is determined by the CB value (RGH Roadmap for noobies). CB value is determined by console type and fuse value (LDV sticky).

Therefore even if you DID manage to move a Falcon CPU onto another console, where are you getting the idea that any other exploit than the one SUITED to that CPU would suffice?
