Alright so my buddy decided he could setup a CoolRunner on his own but decided to back out after melting the FT4R2 pad. Now I can still see a small amount of solder and it certainly isn't burned. The slim is still on stock NAND and boots just fine so I assume the point isn't borked. So would my best bet to be the alt "11" point instead? I could probably get it to stick to FT4R2 but I'm just making sure I don't need to bridge it first. Also for what it's worth I'm using the 50 ohm cable and I've already grounded it for him to the chassis and the rest of the points I've already resoldered. I just wanted to get some info and see. Usually I see this completely burned out or somebody has the red dot of death.

If the console is booting fine, then FT4R2 should (just) be fine to work with, although if you think you may lift it then use the alternate point, or try the QSB (recommended, so you can use shielded cable on CPU_RST).

An image of the "damage" would be useful.

Personally, I'd go to R4D4 now and not involve yourself with FT4R2
