the reason i asked about why it was removed is becouse it have solder on the some jumpers and on the installation pads + no green glow like an unprogrammed CR has.

yeah, i thought about why no green led, i have only tinned the pads and closed the jumpers
should i not have done? should i open the jumpers? will see what diff it makes.
this is only cr3 i have ever used, so never gave thought about the obviuos

that show the red led lit when conected to JRP

out of maybe 1000 cr3 lites i got off xconsoles back in the day,i had like 3 not work.and thats a reallllly small number,but it does happen,and sorry bout the flack ya caught but cr3 lites have been cloned so much and have been out of real production for months now that most just assume now that ones gonna be fake.just not real common to have alot of real ones left out there.again sorry bout that.

Would 5v be too much for the VR, as the cpld runs at 1.8v IIRC.

Guys this thing has only ever been pluged into 1 power sorce @ a time, never more
i always like to keep the thought, never box on while proger is anywhere near.

ya know, just goes to show, ya never can tell lol
sort of just like glitch times haha

I know it's not a TX program, but
Just ran 360gcProg and the error message says, " Initializing parallel port at 0x378 warning: TDO seems to be stuck @ one"
what normally would cause this error?
would you see this sort of error if power to chip is not correct or such.

I know it's not a TX program, I've just used it to get the error, so as to hopfully
correct this and help other who encouter this type of problem.

ps.
have ripped a chip out of another console and have just programed it
with both lappy and desktop using both JRP (usb) and lpt aswell on
desktop (no lpt on lappy lol )

At least that proves that the CR3 Lite you have must be shagged

Just check If you have all the needed voltages to the xc2c64a, and If you do just replace it course Its probably bad.

Download the datasheet for it, Its all there. Xilinx xc2c64a. If you dont find any missing voltages, replace the IC. If you find missing or faulty voltages then fix it and retry it.
