Hello all,

I have a corona v2 which was rgh with a cr3 lite. after about 12 months it stopped booting! i opened it up abd checked all wires and all seemed good. I assumed the chip was at fault.

I have just dropped in a cr4 xl, dumped the nand (2 good copies the same) installed the chip.

I have made the ecc file and written it to the nand, after this the console fan spins but the chip doesnt show a green light, just the solid red led.

I wrote back stock nand and it booted fine. another thing that worries me is J-runner doesnt display the nane size just the drive, letter and type. but reading and writing seems fine.

I have left the old cr3 stuck down for now as it seems solid and I don't want to damage the board removing it. I have insulated the 2 chips fully with foam

Move the red wire from 3.3V to 5V.

You should also cut the yellow and blue wires to fit - they don't need to be so long.

Are you ticking the "CR4" check box before creating the ECC image?

Thanks mate, I'll resolved it and have a go, yeh been checking the cr4 box.

Is it strange to not see the nand size in j-runner?

You can remove the old CR-3 lite by putting some heat directly underneath the chip.. Motherboard turned over
Use heat gun or hair dryer and some common sense The sticky pad will release easy with small heating

Measure resistance between ground and your "D" point on the CR4 (should be around 65k). It's possible the postfix adapter may have shifted and you're not getting a good connection (which would also explain the CR3 Lite).

after you have cut the wires down , turn on dip 8 and moved the red to 5v , put the jumper on default as well works better for me , also put your jrunner log up

Thanks all for your advice and input. Moved the 5v to the correct place and set dip 8 on as well. The console glitched first time and booted xell.

Xebuild flashed and console boots first time every time.

Thanks again lads, your help has been valuable
