Maybe, but I think I can recall seeing someone with a 3TB before. Either way, you can have PLENTY of space :)


Edit: yeah, 2tb looks like the limit. You can have more on an external drive if formatted specially, but it starts to cause errors.

What happens if you also have the Demon. In that case, do you have to allocate two seperate partitions on the hard drive; one to be used with the homebrew code, and one with the stock firmware? What happens if you only have 1 single partition on the hard drive...

Can you please elaborate on that?

This is an old thread and you shouldn't ask questions in someone else's thread. However, I will say this. You cannot use anything other than a MS HDD in a retail console. If it doesn't have the MS security sectors then the console will not recognize it on a retail NAND.

also once a retail ms hdd has been formatted in an rgh console (or rgh side on a dual boot console),its no good in a retail anymore,just thought id add that for future searches and stumble upon this.
