It appears the problem was the CPU_RESET cable. The original end of the cable is prepped perfectly but it was 2 times too long. When I trimmed the wire to length, I thought it was simply a stranded conductor and cut and stripped the outer jacket.

To correct the problem, I had to strip the outer insulation back, trim the braided shield, strip the inner jacket and solder the exposed inner solid wire to the motherboard. A very tedious task for such small wires. Install doesn't look great but I was able to boot in Xell after 3 glitches and retrieve my keys and LDV.

I am having problems booting the Xebuild image now but I've only made one attempt. I'll retrace my steps and see if I can find my error before posting another help thread.

Posting a pic for anyone else who may run into the same issue. Thanks for all the help.

You are welcome. it should also be mentioned, that when I first started, I found I could boot xell, but couldnt boot freeboot. It all came down to configuration. EG. My jasper R-Jtag will boot xell in 1 glitch every time, but with freeboot it averages around 2-3, and on the rare occasion it goes past 4-5 it will get RROD, as my image doesnt have a patched SMC reset limit. I have tried to get it down to 1 glitch, but have had no luck. I dont really care, as it boots 99% of the time, and is much faster then when I had RGH2 on it.(About 10 minutes faster.) long story short, it all comes down to tuning. :)
