They are taking about the push on connector on the cr4 inbetween D and G points, it appears to have a solder blob on there and this could be the source of the problem
Or cut off the connector and solder it on.There is probably solder lodged all inside the connector so it is probably not going to seat correctly I would see if you can make it fit don't break it though if it does not fit right I would just dry the default blue wire and use that see if you can get a boot.
Actually yes that is probably a better idea I did not think about that before cut off the connector because the cable is fully grounded and shielded it will most likely give better results than the default cable.Or cut off the connector and solder it on.
