Hey guys,

I know you don't support the Cygnos Dual nand and rather me use the Demon(which I love)..however I have an old Cygnos Rev E chip and would like to use it. I've used them before with the old coolrunners and they worked great.

My question is: Can I use it along with the CR4 XL? Is it possible to use the Cygnos switch to trigger the CR4 XL to be on and off with the selecting of nands? I know back with the coolrunner you could use a relay to do so.

Just looking for some guidance and or tricks to use up this piece of hardware just collecting dust. BTW this is for a PHAT console.

Thanks!

I'm sure you can manage to trigger the CR4 from a cygnos, I have managed to trigger regular CRs from a cygnos before, and I think there was a spot on it wich gave 3.3V when cygnos nand was selected and exactly what those old CR needed. Since there's no special DemoN fw for CR4 I'm just gonna guess it wants 3.3V to trigger and GND to stay off? Try it out and see.

Well you could use a relay, but why add a component when you don't have to? Learn how the CR_EN works instead.
