CR4-XL support needed

Got an xbox 360E 4GB - Corona V6 without Winbond RAM, added an internal 320GB HD.

Need to install x--key, however to do that I'll need the cpu/dvd key first.

A friend of mine has the CR4-XL and Corona QSB V3 and can let me use it since I understand that after getting the cpu key I can remove the CR4-XL.

Am looking at the following guide:
http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?147840-CR4-XL-SLIM-Corona-v3-v6-Install-Guide-(RGH2-)

What items from hardware list in this guide and which steps should I follow that would allow me to get the dvd key?

Thanks for your assistance.

P.S. Please request only relevant posts. Other posts including smart a** posts are simply a waste of time and effort. Of course it makes the poster feel good about themselves, however it just wastes space.

you're not looking for CR4 support.. you're looking to be spoon fed.. please read some more on the topic and all your questions will be answered :)

your thread is a waste of time and space .. you come here asking how to install a CR4 so you can grab keys to install an ****..

this is a support forum for those who are have issues or difficulties with TX products.. being lazy and not reading the multiple guides that are on this forum is not considered

an issue and does not require support.. heck, Google could of answered your questions had you done a simple search.. the method or steps in glitching a console

hasn't changed since the beginning.. new chips may have new install procedure for the wires but the whole procedure has been the same thus the installation instructions

you find lately are simplified.. thanks and have a nice day :)

Please feel free to post your suggestions ONLY to threads that you deem worthy. Perhaps this thread is way below your expertise. Thank you for "dropping" by

You can skip the QBS kit if you want, you don't need the double shielded cpu_rst wire and you don't need any JRP or nand-x (except for rater but since you're only in it for key retrieval it shouldn't be in your interest). Follow the tutorials for the different parts and search the forum.

You'll need a R/W kit to read the nand, because you have a 4gb corona, also a postfix adapter for the postout point, and your friend cr4 xl.

Once you have read your nand and kept it in a safe place, write the corona 4gb cr4 ecc to the console,so you can grab your cpu key.once you have the cpu key then you can write the original nanddump back to the console.

It's that simple.

if you are asking questions like this , i would get a pro to do it for you because the nand R/W QSB is not as easy as it looks to intall

Thanks for your suggestions. If I understood them correctly, from the following list of parts that are mentioned in the tutorial for CR4XL for Corona V6

  • CR4 XL - NEED
  • CR4 CORONA QSB KIT - DO NOT NEED
  • XECUTER POSTFIX ADAPTER V2 (There are a TON of fakes out there - save your money they are sh*te quality) - NEED
  • DOUBLE SHIELDED PRO CPU RST CABLE - SLIM - DO NOT NEED
  • JR PROGRAMMER V2 (You can use a v1, v1.1 or a NAND-X and even a DemoN) - DO NOT NEED
  • XECUTER CORONA 4GB NAND R/W KIT (IF YOUR NAND IS 4GB) - NEED
Is that right?

Thanks,

That is what I looked into initially but could not find someone local to Northern VA and did not want to ship console. My friend got the CR4-XL and he is quite good at soldering but needs some directions on how to proceed and that led me here.

Also, I thought the previous post suggested that i do not need to install QSB. Is that not right?

The 4gb nand r/w kit it a QSB and a adapter for sd-card to put in the reader. This is the only QBS that I would really recommend for you, the other one is optional.

Thanks but am afraid I did not understand what you meant by "follow tutorials for different parts". I tried searching for "dvd key" and other terms such as "Corona", "postfix" etc. etc. on the forum but surprisingly am not getting any results back. Is search working on the forums?

Weird. Most information you need is in the tutorial you linked, but it doesn't cover the use of the 4gb r/w kit.

As Antalpromille said, you in fact don't need to get the Corona QSB because you'll be using the 4GB R/W Kit to read/write the NAND. The QSB kit is mainly to make it easier to read/write the NAND with a JR-Programmer or NANDX using supplied connectors instead of soldering individual wires.

I agree with Chase somewhat. I started off with nothing just over a month ago and got the answer to everything you just asked using google within a couple hours. Anyways, we'll help with the TX products nonetheless but don't expect advice on the **** (although you should be able to handle that anyways).

Has your friend installed a CR4 and/or a QSB himself? It really isn't an easy soldering job so please be sure he's up to the task.

Cheers

He means to search for the individual steps of installing a CR4 and RGH'ing your console. For example:

1. A tutorial for installing the 4GB R/W Kit and read your NAND. Took me 20 seconds to find one: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imLrMYN5Y4w) <--Credits go to XJonnyGunsX... God I love that guy haha.

2. A tutorial to install to install the CR4 (go to Uber's Tutorial, you can find that easily).

3. A tutorial to install the postfix adapter v2 (google)

4. Tutorial(s) instructing you how to properly write the ECC, boot into Xell, obtain your CPU key, build a Glitched NAND, and write a glitched NAND. I strongly suggest looking for Jrunner Tutorials (google)

Long story short you won't find the step by step for the whole process in one tutorial. You'll have to put in a bit of work to find the individual tutorials throughout the forums.
