Is there any install guides using the r-jtag qsb v3 and jr programmer v2 with the CR4 XL? Im just looking for a wiring guide. all the guides on here seem to be using nandx or v2 qsb's. Can the CR4 XL just be installed by itself without the qsb and programmer? I just want this installed and done with.

Im using a Phat Jasper console.

I believe it is straightforward with the new QSB for R-JTAG, much easier than with previous versions.

You only use JRP V2 for reading and writing NAND, CR4 XL is factory programmed. It uses the same connection points as any other NAND programmer (NAND-X), there is no difference in connecting.

Pinout for JR-P is same as nandx. So you can use nandx tutorial to install JR-programmer. You don't need any qsb for this.

Cr4 is glitch chip and jrp is for reading nand. You need to use them both.
You don't need any qsb if you are going to use rgh2+ but if you want Jtag + you will need qsb.
Just follow guide, read band, write .ecc, install cr4, get cpu key, write hacked image, desolder jrp.

Thanks for the reply, I have the v3 qsb and i know how to install that, but what wires need to be soldered on the cr4 if the qsb is being used? im assuming the power and ground are required but other than that i only see a green wire going to the qsb and that picture shows a yellow wire going off the side of the image...

Game over is right. for real dude he is honestly doing you a favor by advising you to do more research. cause if you don't know what you are doing its very easy to render your console useless.

PS the R-JTAG ALT QSB is not mandatory

you can use 2 switching diodes and some wire. but using the QSB gives you a few tuning options and looks nicer

Of course you can use qsb v3. But you need to follow tutorials. If cr4 is used you need to solder all wires shown in cr4 guide.there is 1 or two wires soldered to that qsb I think. So its not requied. But for rjtag you will need qsb or diodes like joshypoo said.
You should read few guides first. Start with installing jrp/nadx and read nand and write ecc. Then proceed to installing cr4. Feel free to ask, but it looks like you have no idea what are you going to do :)

You should take the time to research what you are doing... or send it to a pro. You are obviously trying to just wing it....
obviously I do not know what I am doing, if i knew than I wouldnt be here asking for help. I have read through about a dozen guides on here as well as over at se7ensins, the problem is that none of the guides I have found have been for the specific console version and mod devices that I have. All the guides are either using older qsb's or different mobo's or nandx's, so trying to piece together what I have is not exactly as straight forward as reading a guide. Maybe buying the exact devices that were used in one of the guides would have simplified the process, but the cr4 xl, qsb v3, and jrp v2 combination was recommended to me by several people as the way to go.

Thank you anyway to all the people who are offering some support, it is greatly appreciated, I happen to enjoy doing things myself and not just paying a pro, even if that does mean bricking an xbox along the way.

Ok, first off no you cannot install the CR4 without the JR programmer/Nandx/Demon. not that the CR4 needs to be programmed cause that it already done for you.
you need this to read/write to the Nand.
all R-JTAG ALT QSBs are the same even though they might look a little different.
and to install the Jr programmer/nandx without the QSB you will need to snip the connectors off and direct wire then to nand points on your Jasper
