Disregard the nanddump1.bin wrong header error as that was a dump of the NAND with ECC written, but I wrote the stock back, unplugged for 30 seconds, and wrote the ECC file again

  • Detailed Description of the Problem: The green debug light won't light up and the system won't glitch
  • Was the console working before you started: Y
  • Do you get a green debug light appear on the CR4 XL chip every 4-5 seconds: N
  • How long is the light on for each time
never lit up

So, I attempted to install CR4XL with RGH2+ setup, as many problems arise from these motherboards with R-JTAG+ and actually used the double shielded cable, but am having problems soldering to the resistor on R8C2. I'm looking for advise for how to fix these problems. Any suggestions?

Were are your pictures (((Advice dont use the shielded wire yet ..stick with the blue wire default for now
I have done 6 jasper 16mb and none of them benefited using R_8 topside location ok
get your CPU key first on the bottom side default location Later if we need the shielded wire to the R_8-point one of us will school you

as stated we need pics of install to see if you have done something wrong , dont take that the wrong way because I done one yesterday on a slim E , it would not glitch , no green light , I looked over my work and noticed i have the green wire on the wrong pad on the CR4

It's fixed, but a new problem arose. The DemoN won't power up and of course, it's in XB mode since I wrote to it. I've got the CPU Key :)

Some of Your pictures are blurry especially the ones were the wires solder direct to motherboard some of those welds look cold
I am challenged at clear pictures as well. So your wires are kinda all over the place What is the green wire with the black tape on it is that the E wire
OK do this write the retail image to the demon and remove the Red wire at CR-4.. Can you toggle the nand in Demon drop down Via Jrunner
And you have programmed the Demon with its 1.4 firmware I would hope
Post your logs after you install retail to the demon See if it will boot retail from the demon Do you have the demon control read write small QSB hooked to the flat cable

Yes, the green wire is for E. I well managed to lift the point DB1F1 lol, I still like it better going through the bottom than the top of DVD. Got it to glitch and boot Xell Reloaded. I've used RATER, and got this so far using starter dips :) 1,1,3,2,1,1,2,1,1,1,1,2,1... ect. (just 1s and 2s, but 1s more often)

Back to the DemoN
I thought that you had to program it to 1.4, after you finish install. (Correct me :p )
So, I remove 5v power from the CR4, then what? I write the NAND? Do I set it to PC or keep it in XB mode? Do I use the QSB or directly to the DemoN?

I've re-flowed the points, but some aren't soldered all the way from the mobo. I've organized the wires properly. I've used flux and 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, and it's just 2 pads now :)
I'll take HQ pics tomorrow, once I get my Note 4 for Christmas ;) (Or ASAP!)

Seem to me like someone like to feed 5V devices with 3.3V. Most of your issues would never have been if you just followed the installation instruction for the devices.

I've removed the red wire :pSo, I continue on and program it? Redirect me to the instructions ;) (I'll look it up, but anybody can help :) )EDIT: I don't get it :p How does one use these products along side? Most guides are on CR rev A/B/C. An image of 16756 XeBuild has been flashed to the DemoN before install.. Please help

The demon gets its firmware first then you Test it by writing to it then reading it before you install and also you can test the power and toggle function with Jrunner or the toolbox before you install
You can keep the demon set to xbox not PC Then use the FFC flat cable and small white Demon function switch to program the demon firmware 1.4- Then Toggle the demon in Jrunner demon drop down menu Write your retail Image to the demon nand then see if it fires up.Not a bad Idea to run a temporary ground wire in the small demon control switch
Ok what is the red wire on the 3.3 volt on the V-3 QSB

Not to be a d**k about it but when you open the demon box there is a card that states for professionals only
I did many RGH installs before my first Demon install Just so I could get better at understanding what I was doing, and to get more practice soldering
I would never recommend a first timer installing the demon

Forgot to say 3.3v wire was for sonus :p How do I get power to the DemoN? That was the main question lol

I've read the card ;)

make sure your writing to the Demon good luck I hope it fires up

The toggle switch/write QSB doesn't light up and it isn't recognized in JRunner. Can I hook microUSB up directly to the DemoN? It's grounded BTW

yes you can no power supply and dont forget to set switch back to XBOX when finished Do you have com flat cable from cr-4- to demon hooked up
Yes, I have the COM cable connected directly to the DemoN and CR4. I just programmed it to fw 1.04 and flashed stock NAND. Still no luck getting power to the DemoN from mobo. I'll set the temps a little higher and tin the green wire (RB), the GND wire, and the STB 5V wire, by far, the most important to power the DemoN

So no blue light at the demon control switch still ?
Maybe at this point one of the ADMINS may choose to move this thread to the Demon section of the Website
I think at this point Im getting in over my head.. I still dont have a lot of Demon experience
and I never had one not get power to the control switch

It boots straight from the DemoN. No ability to switch and isn't detected from JRunner. Will upload pics ASAP. I've fixed cold solder points rom under NAND, so they are properly reflowedEDIT: It properly switches NANDs using Sync button, so I'll try a new GND cable :)

I had that problem, and it was a simple error with the ribbon cable being inserted backwards/upside down. go figure. I would check that first. also make sure switch is set to XB, and not PC, as I am fairly sure this changes where the power comes from, either the xbox, or from the USB. Not absolutly sure on that, but it makes sense.
