create spare drive with VIA and Xecuter PCB

I'm a complete n00b.

I want to make a spare drive and copy over firmware to an xecuter pcb. Source is a 16D4S -0225.
Destination is an pcb-less slim drive of same model.

I assume all i need to dump the firmware is a VIA chipset (i do have one) and a power source for the drive itself. I have a powersource which will power the drive, its not a CK3.

And ofcourse, jungleflasher.

Am I missing anything ?

You will be lucky if you can do it with the via chipset, you maybe lucky but really you need to get yourself an X360usb and I would advise a ck3 to power it too.

1-6 dumps firmware, I assume.
7-14 puts aftermarket firmare, iXtreme LT+ onto the Xecuter PCB tranferring the drive key.

Can you use stock firmware on the Xecuter PCB or you have to use the iXtreme firmware....and how would the target look like ?
I assume both would be dummy.bin ?
