hi,

still waiting for my xbox falcon jtagged, which i should receive anytime this week (hopefully, lol!).

ok my 1st question is....I have a 500gb external usb hdd. Its currently formatted as exFAT and 200gb is currently being used. I now want to create a 300gb partition for the xbox 360.

1. How do i go about acheiving this without losing the existing data?

2. What format do i use and what program if any?

my 2nd question is....I'm not too sure if i'm gonna make sense here, but my fear is a new game-patch comes out that i accidently accept. Now:-

1. can this block the jtag/mess it up?
2. if the answer to no.1 is Yes, then is it reversable or is the jtag permenantly lost?

dunno about the first question as for your second, if the person you bought your jtag from did a good job they will have blocked it from taking a game update that would kill the jtag by either removing R6T3 resistor or by bridging 2 solder points isolating the resistor. you should find out whether or not they did this. you can also go into the parental controls and block xboxlive eliminating the possibility someone could connect it to live which would also update and kill it straight away.
edit. do any kind of official update on your jtag and it will be permanently killed

Gparted is a sweet piece of software for this. You can easily format the unallocated space as FAT32.

thanks for helping garageinc and jfelding.

I found gparted a bit too daunting to format. I have used another software called "Minitool Partition Wizard". Rather than make a mess of everything, I backed up all the data and then deleted everything. Using this software I split the 500gb to 300gb for xbox and 200gb for other data.

Now before I copy all the data back, could you please look at the picture below and tell me if I have done this correctly :)-
