Criteria for jtag or rgh

Been a long while since I've been modding (xbox1, 360 hacked drive firmware, PS2 modchip installs) and thought I'd investigate current 360 modding and see what has changed, if anything, in the jtaging world. I have a Falcon MB that has been banned from XBL and it has dashboard 2.0.9199.0.
A lot that I have been finding about jtaging (nothing on rgh) are older posts and information....nothing really current.
Always a fan and patron of Xecuter products (Xecuter 2.6, Xecuter 3, Xecuter CK3 Pro) and Xecuter staff and followers advice and guidance. So I ask, what now are my current options? I know Fusion is on the horizon and I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do with my console.

Rgh is your best bet check out the rgh jtag section along with coolrunner guides.

Go for RGH but don't update to 14719 or you will have to wait for RGH 2.0

Your falcon can not be jtagged. In most cases only consoles on dashboard 2.0.7371 and below can be jtagged. RGH will be your only option with this console. Like Argentum has stated DO NOT update this dashboard past 14699. 14717 and 14719 are not exploitable at the moment. So when you build your hacked image make sure it is a 14699 image. I can't confirm but, I would think any of the builders out there will automatically build a 14699 image for you since there is no exploit for the laters public. Thank you so much for this information guys!! I've been researching (reading endless web posts and youtube videos) for awhile but could not get any concise, clear-cut answers to my questions. I do more researching than I do posting which is why my post number is so low but alas I needed help. Now I shall research on the whole RGH business from using the NANDX and installing the CoolRunner (gonna feel good to start soldering again!) to dumping the nand, building the ecc, compiling it with a dashboot option and then re-writing it back to the nand. And everything else in between. I want to feel comfortable/confident with the process in my head before I even lift a finger to start the process.
If anyone has any helpful advice doing such, please advise!! I'm all ears (eyes).

i think you misunderstood me, use your 14699 image, and generate it for 14719. my rgh shows it running on it.

Reading my roadmap for noobies might have answered a few of your questions....

find 14699 update,update your console,download jrunner,in the final stage you can create your 14719 image and flash it with jrunner.after that all you have to do will be to download the 14719 system update with avatars and update your console and PROFIT.

Thats how I did my slim.
Apart from jrunner tutorials(which are inside jrunner folder that you are going to download),you can benefit from here FiB3R's guide
which also gives too much details and alternatives that you should be aware of.
But jrunner will do most of the stuff for you.

Before you start you may need to check a few more guides because every guide has something of its own and you need to create your own base of knowledge by combining the ways and programs they use in these tutorials.

@ Martin C - I've read through your road map for noobies and I'm continually referring to it as I'm finding myself having many questions. Also, it helps me to gain understanding and continually giving me knowledge as my learning progresses. My zeal for modding is coming back alive as my knowledge and understanding of the 360 world is growing.

@ pudinkk - Thanks for that information! I have read FIB3Rs information in the past and found it to be a wealth of knowledge. I will definitely read much, much more in tutorials and forums before I even attempt any install/hack.
