No, can't ftp using cromwell bios,

Cromwell won't let you do much except flash another bios or lock/unlock the hdd.

Backup games and online?

Is there any way I can make backup copies of games and play them online? That is, without getting banned.
I've already had a disc become ruined just by someone bumping my entertainment center while I was playing and I really don't want a repeat of that. >.<

Also, I know that this particular topic is likely beaten to death, but I want to be sure that I'm getting current information rather than information for an older motherboard. That's reasonable right?

I believe that mine has the Jasper board since I had to send it in for repair a couple of years ago. Also, my warranty is already done and over with, so I'm not afraid to open it, but I would prefer not to have to use a modchip.

google jungleflasher!

Though to be honest - although c4eva try's his best to make the firmware undetectable - there is always going to be a chance you will get banned at some point. M$ have the funds to continue to develop their detection methods - so they will always continue to develop new ways of detecting modded consoles.

Its a cat and mouse game - if your comfortable at the thought of losing the occasional mouse - then feel free to join in!

Re: Backup games and online?

Thank you for the information BraveHeart, the entire point of wanting to be able to play backup copies is because I can't afford to replace the games, since I am currently unemployed.
I just have one question about Jungleflasher before I try it. Can the drive's firmware (I assume that is what is being changed since it's a flasher) be reverted back to it's current state? The reason I ask is because when a patch comes up I would like to be able to revert to normal until it's verified that it's safe, more or less, to use.

You can use the disc replacement program if you damage your discs it's £10 for replacement disc or go to a place which does disc repairs they charge about £2 to get rid of all the scratchs.
