I have a v1.0 xbox, using bios x2_5032_vOLD. I have previously had the xbox modded and then had my origional xbox HD die on me (strange clicking noises). When the HD died it may have done more damage then expected. As of now i have cromwell on bank 3-4 and this works fine. Net work falshing and cd flashing i have working fine. So far i can't seem to get the non-cromwell bios to work (x2-50##'s). With chip off i get the flubber then an error screen (no number)
With chip on and banks 3-4 i get cromwell working fine
With chip on and banks 1-2 i get x2 config loding screen and it does 1 of 2 things
1) It just stays at this screen and does nothing more
2) It goes to a black screen with a few dots and a "09" in the upper right
error code 09 is "HDD parameters (PIO/DMA/or size {debug}, certain size minimum is required for debug"
The replace ment HD is a 1.7GB (temp HD to get xbox working)
Shouldn't my boot cd run or something
