Check the drive spec, so long it has 2mb buffer you should be all good to go.

How bad you want one? If real bad and seeing how people now selling them for £50 - £70 on ebay it might be worth taking the risk. You could always buy one from a local store where you get to see the product and it's full specs.

I did the same with a HP 1260i which I bought from my local PC world store just to test even though my first iHas 124b drive is working strong and also I got a spare one sitting on the shelf.

ye did find some 122's that are cross flashable but there £18 each

think i'll take a chance havent seen any posts with people questioning about drive revisions on these ones

got 224's in at the moment one has through out a few bad burns and power calibration errors
