crystal 1.6b reseting twice then red/green black screen Help

hi there.

i just bought myself a new crystal box, later on to find out that it was a 1.6b, so thought ok lets give it a try, installled the X2.6ce on it, LPC rebuild as shown on the diagram section, turned it on to find out tha the xbox flashes green/orange then reset, again green/orange then reset and then green/red and does not reset but there is no screen, black screen, then i read somewhere about the bios needs to be flashed first before install the mod, so i went to my friends house whao has an 1.2 xbox and flashed my chip with flashbios3.03 on the first bank and M8+_16 on the second bank, restarted my friends machine with the mod in it boots perfect with the evox on the right hand side of the screen on bank 2 and flash bios on bank 1, further more i discovered that after taking the mod off the my crystal box was having the same effects green reset, green reset and then green/red.

any ideas what it could of gone wrong

Im not flamming but you have to do some searching in the forums before you ask sh*t like this. People here get raged over questions like this.

CHECK, DOUBLE CHECK, AND TRIPLE CHECK your pin header solder points. THATS YOUR PROBLEM

Ok, I searched this 1st but no go....
My 1.0 box is flashing red and orange, black screen, what could cause this? Yes, the video plug is in! Hasn't even been chipped yet.... Thanks

New and need guidance

So a friend turned me on to this website, and being new to computers and modding i had a few questions:

Which tutorials do i follow and in which order?(theres like 20 of em, each for a different mod)

Where can the chip be obtained and for how much?

How much updating will be needed and how often?

I have a 360 elite, from about 3 yrs ago, and basically my interests would be backed up games, and playing em from your hard drive, with stealth tech so im still able to play on live.....So all in all which tutorials do i follow and in which order?
