Alright I do plenty of jtags a month and I've run into a problem I can't seem to fix. I had a customer want to try to jtag a box on their own and ofc he used lpt and his pc shut down on him during flash and now I can't find nand controller. Being the nice guy I am I swapped him units and gave him one pre-jtagged. I've tried alternate points to try to read the flash (which has worked before) and I've also tried shorting the nand (which has also worked before) but for the life of me I can't get this to work.

My question is rather than swap the cpu on a stock console which I would rather avoid can I just purchase the cygnos and use this to jtag the box again. I've never owned one and am very unfamiliar with this product. I do have cpukey and original image from before and the stock boots perfectly but as stated I can't find nand controller to reflash xell.

Any insight would be appreciated

Have you tried replacing the NAND flash with a known-working chip?

Well I have an achi and a aoyue 2900 but I believe I would need a hot air station to remove something like that due to all the legs and not being able to heat it up all at once.

I suppose you would, it's just a thought. I think Cygnos360 uses the same points as other NAND flashers do.

Ah, I was kinda hoping it would just use the 3 that are used where the diodes go and jumper. Having it use the same points as the nand flashers doesn't really help me
