Hi,
So like a fool, I got myself a iron that was too hot, solder that was too big, and was content to clean my iron in a less than decent way.... so I find myself in a predicament.. whether these things are the cause, not sure.. but anyway...
When I was soldering my last lead to the motherboard (D0, grey wire), I wasn't able to get a decent joint (when I taped down the connection, it snapped..).. quite possibly because of the large, too-hot iron. At any rate, I sort of blackened the solder spot for the D0 wire (as according to the tutorial on this site) and ripped a small portion of the trace to it.
First question.. is this solder spot connected to anything above (the pad is above, but is it there just to make a joint) which leads to
Second quesiton.. can I just create an alternate route from one terminal of the D0 trace to the other, and then solder the grey wire onto that?
These are probably n00b questions, and you may have heard them already.. just couldn't find much about it.
Thanks for any help.
