basicly if the d0 is grounded then will be tell the xbox to search for a bios on the lpc, where the modchip is. if the d0 is not grounded it will igore the lpc and boot the original xbox bios.
hmm...maybe I just slow, but why did microsoft make this possible in the first place? I mean if the d0 is grounded the xbox should quit, not look for a bios somewhere else...or?
The Dev kits have the LPC bus activated so developers can try things, and use debug mode. It was also used for creating/testing the bios, and it would be too expensive for them to retool the board to eliminate it.
