probably a better place to post this than in the custon cases part...

i took the Roto Zip (plunge bit on the dremel) and carved out flames on the xbox cover (top of case)

then i had a spare power/eject mobo that i burned out ..i took the leds off that

so i have the three colors...

i found that the leds had three prongs

the center is the " - " and the two outers are the "+" one being green and the other being red... so here's what i want to do ...

i want to hook the green side into one of the leds on the x3 control pannel .. or maybe to just the power button led ...

then hook the red side to the HDD led .. that way when the xbox thinks the flames flicker ...

my questions .. hooking these leds into leds with other uses.. is that going to hurt anything .. since the leds must share a common negative?

lol i cut the flames out on the back side rather than the front ...sheesh .. i guess i am going to have to see what it looks like .. if i dont like it .. then its going to have two rows of flames...

im thinking of getting some poly resin .. and laying the case down and filling the etchings in with the resin .. so that it retains its strength and is still perfectly clear...
and if i do that i can probably mount the leds so they shoot into the resin and light up the whole thing

Sounds fine... lets see the pics when done. Perhaps a *.gif of it running.

Or you could connect the led's to the power/eject board. Then u can select "cycle" in the led colour options and then they will flash green, red, orange. Just an idea.
