Hey thought I would get everything working the first time but like always I fail. Ok, I read my nand before even installing the jtag, had a bit of a problem and I remember reading if you get a device error most likely soldering skills. So I went back and touched the solder points and this time ran a striped wire through to make sure solders flowed trhough.
Well got my nand everything checks out, then I installed the jtag got the e79. So I went back resoldered everything, reflashed back booted up just fine.
Now I flashed again with xell, still e79, change the setting on the qsb to 300 still e79 then to 400 still e79.
Was wondering if anyone can help me I feel like Im almost there just cant get past this part. I have a xenon board. I can just imagine a non xenon will be, I think next time Im going to use header pins. If that is the case what do I do when I get to the jtag portion?

Your problem will be one of two:

1. Still bad soldering @ the JTAG points.

2. Bad blocks that needs remapping.

If you have trouble soldering then use wires and generic switching diodes 1N1481 to complete your JTAG part.

Alright think I might go the wire route, checked my nands none seem to have any errors so I guess my soldering was ok on the nand part correct? I'll search and see if I can find a diagram on wiring and the diodes on xenon board, thanks.

Or is it this diode 1N4148? I took the qsb off for the jtag and I am going to try to hard wire with the alternate points likes in ur tut. I tried to flash to xbr injected my kv still e79...I got an e79 kit to might try that first maybe I was so lucky to have my first jtag to be a pain in the balls. Also I seen the bat41 diode however I think the qsb uses the bat41 diode and the e79 kit might use something more simpler.

The 1N1481 diodes works perfectly, I have used them ever since I started jtaggin and they never failed for me at any time. The alternate jtag points have been tested on HDMI consoles only but come to think of it I don't see why they can't be used on xenon even though I really don't think it's necessary.

You might want to show us pictures of your install and soldering?

I'll post some pics on sunday, I removed one of the pads on the jtag when desoldering so I need to go alternate method now. Where can I get the 1N1481 diode. I can find this one 1N4148 and alot of users use that one but where is the 1n1481....
I was desoldering going to try the e79 kit I bought. And if not then diodes if I can find em. Thanks for your help by the way.

Sorry, typo in the diodes code. It's like you said (1n1481). This where I get mine from, hey got a store that is just 2 miles away from me.

Well for the sake of time I will pay $1.50 each at ratshak and order some on ebay as well. Im guessing these have polarity as well and need to be attached a certain wait correct?
