Ok, so my buddy and I install his Xecuter 3 CE today on his V1.0 xbox. First it starts constantly rebooting itself when we try to power it on, so we take it apart and resolder everything. Put it back together and it boots up correctly giving us the "FlashBIOS" screen. We "unlock" the hard drive, then enable network flashing. Set the dipsticks properly (on on off off off), and upload the most recent Xecuter bios, acquired from xbins via http. The process completes correctly and powers itself down (as supposed to). We boot it back up and the box just turns right off. No video output at all. If we swap the dipsticks to a different bios, it boots us back into flashbios with no problem.

Any ideas/ help is greatly appreciated.

the right bios is "X3 3108.bin" and NOT the "X3 3108v16plus.bin" Bios since you don't have an Xbox 1.6 or 1.6b

minor note, make sure you rename the 3108 to bios.bin... without that it wont register the bios correctly

*sigh*

The above post by Sylvermane is incorrect. If you are using the DISC FLASH option, THEN you need to rename the bios.

If you are using the HTTP flash you need ONLY to flash the correct version.
IF (at a date after you can FTP onto your HD) you choose the HDD flash option it will give you a list of the bioses currently in the "C:BIOS/" folder.
(At that point all your different Bioses being named "BIOS.BIN" would be retarted.

hey thanks for all the replys. i actually am using xbox v 1.1 if that makes much of a difference, we're going to go over the solder points again and yes we used the x3_3108 bios file. i dont really know what else it could be. we're also going to try a disk install of the bios instead of http. thanks again

you will probably find that bios 2914 works, you will get aud and vid, but you will not be able to save settings...

Yes i did. i bought the $24.00 soderless extension for it and since i had an old xbox i used that mb instead and now it works. seems to be a soldering issue no matter how i looked at it
