Dash and Application Question...

Ok...I have evox running right now. Eventually I'm gonna go to Ava... At any rate, what do I have to do to make dvd2xbox or another dash run as an application in evox? Is there a tutorial for this? If so please point me in the right direction!! Thank you guys....

just put the folder with the .xbe file in the apps folder in your E: or F:

No... the .ini should aslready be eet up to search the Apps Folders

360 debug machine help

hello. i am new and thus have some noob Q's

My journo mate gave me his debug 360 as he doesn't use it, I know it doesnt play retail discs, only review code. here are my questions/problems

1. if it doesnt play retail will it play a backup or will i have to source review code?

2. set up a live account and confirmed email etc etc but the machine will not log on to live, broadband and all is green for go. what am I doing wrong? I would assume that the machine would let you connect to review any online modes.

3. if i swap out the dvd drive i take it I could get the machine running as retail. T or F?

like i said I'm new to this stuff so lets keep recriminations to a minimum until i ask something hideously stupid.

you can't just swap dvd drives in a xbox 360.

you have to transfer dvdkey from the firmware of the original drive
to the new drive before it will read games.

if the dvdkey is incorrect the drive will not read games at all but it will
read dvd movies. so you need to find out if the laser is going bad
or if the dvdkey is correct befor you do anything else. i have seen
drives with weak lasers that won't read games, but will play a dvd
movie.
