Hi

I was on here about a year or so ago, and with the help from many helpful people i managed to get my system jtagged and running the dash that worked with everything just before the kinect dash update.

sorry for my vaigness but i cant actually get to my 360 as we have just had a new born baby and i cant get to my 360 to double check but every game up to call of duty black opps worked, Azeemk was the really helpful person who was my gaurdian angel and pointed me through everything the first time round :)

anyway, i got a game that just will not work "bulletstorm", i installed it to the hdd patched it with nxe2god, but its on the internal hdd.. so i cant go in to the game folder and delete the system update folder..

so i tried reading up on how to update my 360 to the latest dash, but i got confused,

Any way to my questions, as my system is jtagged is there a simple system update or a patch that will sort this out for me?

the simpler the better, i do not intend on getting a kinect system so i dont really need to update my dash,, but id prefer to do something so any other games i try in the future will work..

sorry for my vaigness and hopefully AzeemK or some other Modmaster will remember my plight and give me some pointers,

Having a new born baby and lots of screeming and cying is taking its toll,, and i want to play some games when i get some free time :) lol

the simpiler the better :)

thanks for taking time to read my rant :)

^ Hey, Welcome back! ;)

Anyways, get Jtag Tool from here and install it. Make a new freeBOOT image using your CPU Key and the correct options for your Jtag/SMC configuration through Jtag Tool. Then rename the created freeBOOT image to "updflash.bin" and put it in the root of a flash drive. Then flash the image using Flash360. Do a power cycle, and you should be at the welcome screen of the new 12625 Kinect Dash. All Done!

Or you could follow the guide frayed mentioned above and get to 12625 Dash...The guide is like the longer and detailed form of what I wrote above.

i had a hour to myself so i checked my old pc for my backed up original nand,, and i cant find it anywhere :(

i found the old screen photos that i took when i was modding first time round,, but i cant find anything else,, i hate windows xp,

if i can find it i'll save it on a memory card and lable it and store it away from my pc,lol

^ Just a question...Did I make a freeBOOT image for you last time? Because if I had, I should have the original NAND images too....

i am honesty not sure MazeemK :(

i remember you helping me loads and giving me loads of advice, but in all honesty i cant remember

its my turn to do the baby feeds tonight, so i am up every 4 hours, so next feed is at 4am uk time,, lol

i'll get my old pc booted up and have a good search later, i have some old usb sticks knocking about, if i cant find my original nand what options do i have?

all the best buddy

You probably are on freeBOOT 9199 currently. In this case, you can dump the NAND in its current condition and keep it as a backup.

Then, since you have the CPU Key, all you have to do is to make a new freeBOOT image in accordance with your Jtag/SMC configuration, and write it to the NAND. You can use Jtag Tool for this purpose.

YAY! i found my orginal nand, all 3 of them, quick stupid question, can i keep it on my usb drive i use on my 360 for safe keeping? i only use the drive for my 360, i was thinking about just making a dir called "original nand" and putting all 3 n it,, will this be ok?

all being well i will try and sort my 360 out when i get up in the morning :)
