RGH dash update RGH to latest please. Thanks.

I'm disabled now and pulled out the xbox 360 slim that I had professionally done in 2012.
Dashboard 2.0 16547.0 Slim 4GB Lit-on drive Lt plus 3.0 installed RGH with Jungle flasher
x360usb pro V-0.18 winbound/nex (w25p20) This all I read on a copy of my bin that was supplied to me by modder.

I have about 20 copied games and never go online to play. I contacted my professional (in the past) who did my system in the past to see how I go about updating my dashboard to the newer games. He said it was ok to download the newest dash from xbox website and download and install on a fat 32 USB thumb drive. I did this a couple of times and all games played. Now jump ahead to Nov 2016. Now that im disabled I want to start playing this xbox again. Is this method still working or from what I read last night and on Youtube I may need some computer programs to to re-flash. Im just not sure what to do after spending hours reading last night. The professional who had done this console is no longer in business and I lost contact with him. So im relying on your professional expertise as to what direction to take. Thanks for your time as its really appreciated. Thanks.

Still doing reading. I couldn't get xell to open with tray eject button. So after reading around the net I believe I found some of my answers. I remembered my pro who did this to my slim using a small drill bit into a chip. A flashed drive is what I have. winbound , flashed with LT 3.0 on a trinity mother board with jungle flasher. My saved copy of the flash has my keys saved as well as other information. In the past I used a formatted usb and just downloaded the latest dash update to my flashed drive and all backup games played. So my new question is with a flashed drive is it not safe to to update Dash straight from the microsoft site? From what im reading this may soft brick the console or will it be OK. If i cant do it this way I will need additional hardware added to slim to go into xell and flash the box and then update avatars. So whats my best option at this point. Thanks. :rolleyes2:

Your drive is safe to update, the big ban hammer a few years back was because microsoft was updating firmware on drives, which cant be done on most slims without some sort of board replacement, or the kamikaze attack(Which was done on yours), as far as I know. just update with live, and you should be fine, assuming your console isnt banned. your firmware wont be touched.
