Dash update

HI all a freind asked if can take dvd drive out fat xbox Liton in that flashed but it on two undates before new one out now ,he asked what happen if take drive out then update in live to new dash and then put drive back in what happen I dont no so I ask for him thanks .

If I understand correctly, you're not concerned about getting banned, the problem however is that the console will get stuck on an update loop forcing u to insert the drive to complete the update

Ok I did think there was a away round it with out flashing back to stock then update and then flash at least I no now to tell him .

you should always go back to stock firmware it saves time later in life when xbox locks up
