Dashboard Favorites..

Just wondering what people's preferences/favorite dashboards are. I just successfully installed my X3CE chip and flashed it with the 3029 bios. I've yet to install a dashboard. I'm thinking about Avalaunch and XBMC. Can Avalaunch do the same stuff as XBMC, in terms of streaming video from a network and playing movies off the xbox hard drive AND dvd drive?

Evox is good to start out, but I like UIX the best. Can't wait for the new release.

Der... I was thinking skins... I suck!

Evox... I have Evox and Avalaunch and seem to always boot to evox. There's more skins and the ini is clean IMO.

I like avalaunch the best, but unleashX has some cool animated skins.

Unleash X is my main dash.

EvoX for it's stability, in game trainers, and FTP Raw Commands.

XBMC is great, but I only run it as a dash on my one Xbox that has the XCP installed for the LCD support.


I suggest installing EvoX as your main dash and the rest of the dashes to be kept in your Applications folder. You can launch whatever one you want until you can decide which one most suits your needs

Avalaunch does everything i need it to do...have EvoX as backup and xbmc on the side as well

ive used them all and currently have avalaunch as my main dashboard and XBMC one of my apps - the only reason know one really likes putting the XBMC as there maindash is because of all the updates to it..

plus avalaunch will update itself- as well as UnleashX- thats if they ever do come out with updates.

UnleashX all the way but I recommend having the others on the side.

I don't understand why people like Avalaunch over UnleashX. What does it do that UnleashX doesn't for the average user?

I guess it's just a pet pieve of mine... but why does this topic keep coming up? I've only been a member for about six months... but in that time, I've seen multiple threads like this. I guess to be fair, most of them occured before we changed forum formats. Nevertheless, it's kinda annoying to me. I'm probably a minority opinion here, but thought I'd share.

You can find your favorite dash by visiting their various websites and seeing what they have to offer. Look at the features, and then choose. Besides, a lot of people post what dashboard they typically use, so I would think that people could discover the favorite dash of most people by looking at their signature.

I'm sorry: I'm kinda cranky right now (need to go to bed), but thought I'd say my opinion regardless.
