R-JTAG Dashboard help

I've been researching on how to J-TAG my 360. A tutorial I read on another site said that J-TAG only works on 360's with a dashboard of 16203 or less. My dashboard is 16537. This site says J-TAG works on the latest dashboard. I trust this site more, but the the tutorial on the other site was updated after the release of dashboard 16537 while this site's guide has not been.

So, will J-TAG work on a 16537 dash? Was the other site just misinformation?

I'm just being cautious I don't want to brick my Xbox.

The tutorial you read is wrong.
