Is it possible to do the same thing with an Xecuter 2.6 CE?
I would like to avoid burning the CD/DVD so if there is a way that would be cool
To add some info:
When I go into xbox LIVE I can ping my xbox from my PC
Tried to connect with ftp but it can't connect to port 21.
Anyway I can do this?

Help Installing Avalunch or any Dash
I installed the X3 CE modchip and flashed it with the X3(3294) bios and now im lost. The next thing i need is a dashboard right? How do you install the Avalaunch dash and once i install that will i be able to run emulators,roms, apps, and play backups. Please help i read mostly all the tutorials and i still cant figure it out. Can you install the dash off a cd\dvd or should i just ftp it over. i got flashfxp and a dsl router.

The answer to your ? is yes you can ftp.
My first ? do you have winrar?
Download avalaunch of of #Xbins and extract it to your HDD using winrar
open flash fxp ftp to your xbox and back up your HDD to your local machine.
Take the extracted files (where you extracted them to and rename the default.xbe to avalaunch.xbe Then after you have done that Copy!! all off the extracted files right to the C:\ then reboot to dash from the x3 bios you should be good to go after that.
P.S. you will have to edit the avalaunch.xml to get some of the features wright
