have evolutionX and avalaunch on E drive as follows...
e:\evo\evo.xbe
e:\ava\ava.xbe
set the dash boot priority
updated the dash names to be as listed above (both 14 characters long)
when in X3 and hit reboot to dash, it goes to M$ dash (5th on the priority list)
when i change dash boot drive from C to E, nothing will happen (not surprised as the dashboards are not in the root of the drive)
having X3 autostart disabled goes right to MS dash
set up quicklaunch and that will end up on MS dash too
have it set to Boot Drive = E, path = evo\evo.xbe
reboot holding the trigger and nothing, ends up on MS dash

when i copied evo.xbe, evox.ini, and skins folder to C, and change the X3 dash setup to match the new location, it will work. would prefer to have it over on E to keep C as clean as possible.

have i missed something? this configuring looks very easy, thanks to some nice programming, but for some damn reason it just isn't workin for me. :( advice welcome!

I just finished doing this on my xbox.

All my dashboards are in F:\Dashboards\EvolutionX(Avalanuch)

I use "Xselect" to choose which dasboard I want to use.

I installed "XSelect" into F:/apps/Xselect but I moved the Xselect.xbe file to the root of F:

This is important becuase X3 Config LIve won't boot into folders in needs to find an xbe file in the root of whatever drive you set it to.

So for u put the Xselect.xbe into E:\ and set Dashboard boot priority to E

I found in order to use the dashboard boot priority the xbe/ini/xml files must be in the root of the Boot Drive.

Xselect works well and helps keep things clean.

thanks for the reply. i'll look into XSelect, sounds cool.
the odd thing is that xecuter himself said that you could set your dash to start up by just defining a small path x3 (15 or less characters)
thanks again for the tip on the app..

Fix SSv1

Ok i have my backup of NHL 10 thats i went to check whether is it ok to us or if it can be fixed...ABGX says that everything is valid, stealth checks pass, verification good. the only thing wrong is that its SSv1. is there any fairly simple way of fixing that and making it SSv2 ?
thanks

Re: Fix SSv1

yep, goto abgx360.net
click "verified"
and then do a search for NHL 10

now depending which version you have find the matching region.
look all the way to the right and at the end you will usually 1 or 2.
click that number. it will goto "verified SS/DMI combos found for this XEX:"

this will tell you if a ssv2 has been uploaded on the page, if so you can
download the "SS CRC & DMI CRC" combo and manually patch with abgx

Re: Fix SSv1

yes just go on manual patch and insert the ss and dmi files. also tick patch even if stealth passes on the manual patch tab. also untick verify if stealth passes on the options tab. then just run your iso. after this return all settings to what they were and run the iso again and itll show you that its ssv2 and all passes. youll also need to reburn as you cant fix already burned discs.
