Yes, copy the folder containing the games to your new HDD.

However, make sure it is the same format (FAT32, FATX etc) so as not to cause issues with paths (unless you set them again in FSD).

transfering that amount of data may take a little while though ...best put the kettle on or at least let it run overnight when ya in bed ...may be worth testing one game on new drive before sending all of it over aswell to make sure the paths are set correctly ....wouldnt want to have to do it twice now would ya ???????

My advice - use EASEUS Partition Master to format the HDD.

Some FAT32 formatting tools can misread and cycle the sectors, causing corruption. I had 100GB on a 1TB HDD reporting as 900GB used.

Hey guys thanks for the massive amount of support that is expected from a team like yourselves unforchanitly i've previously attempted this. i put them both into the pc and they do not show up (obviously because the formatted by the x360 to proform as a xbox 360 hdd) but initilizing them still does not show the contents. the HDD's im using are...

Seagate barracuda 500gb and a wd caviar green (wasn't stolen from a 2tb element external hdd) like i said i can get them to show up in administritive settings but to the point of seeing the contents of these said hard drives is a myth. i am using windows xp with SP1 (cba to download sp2/3 lol) once again thanks alot for the support already given. there was 1 idea i had which included the hdd data transfer thingybob made by xbox. would that work?

If you wanted to do it w/o buying anything, and you have 500 gb free on your home PC, you could just FTP over the entire contents from the xbox to the PC one night, swap hard drives, then transfer back the next night.

if you are trying to use Xplorer360 it wont work.each version of Xplorer is for different size original hard drives, seem to crash when used on the wrong size...
try party buffalo, and run as admin..is more stable than most

Hey guys got somewhere with buffalo. it tells me i need Net Framework 3.5 to install so i attempt to bowl over to M$.com and it wont let me. apparently i have an annoying (or helpful) virus that stops me going to microsoft.com. this is a big ask for all you guys but if someone could upload a copy of .net framework 3.5 SP1 offline installer so i could download it my problems should (touch wood) be sorted
