ANSWERED De soldering the filled pinholes

In the tut I read here it looked like you only need to desolder the pin holes that are filled with solder for the pin headers only and I'm using the qsb. Is that right?

For QSB you don't have to desolder the holes.
A pin header needs to go through the hole so it needs to be cleared for that reason.

You're good to go.

You dont need to fill the holes, although i would recommend to tin the holes and fill them up and then use some flux so that when you solder the QSB it will flow much easier
