The same thing happened to me once. Try updating XeLL to XeLLous using NandPro and see if the console boots then.

Raptor, from your pictures you seem to be using the standard JTAG points for HDMI board but my xell files are made to use the alternative points (AUDIO_CLAMP & OPEN_TRAY signals). If you used my xell with the setup showing in your pictures this could be a possible reason why it did not work.

Also if you use manwithouname's premade xell files, you will have to shrink them from 16 mb to 1.28 mb. If you need help with that just post here :D

I think what Purewater meant is Unarchive them as I used WinRar to compress them. But I'm sure ratpor would have figured that easily. I'm surprised at how small the end file was considering their original size was over 48mb.

I wouldn't know what to suggest next, but maybe you want to do some experimenting around and try view versions of xell, upgrade xell to xellous, etc. I wouldn't just give in.

He's already tried other versions of xell, so it wouldn't make a difference if he uses an older version of jtag tool unless he's skipped something.

Also be weary of double posts, edit your last posts if you want to add something more to what you said rather than post a new reply.

cant get it to write xell/xellous or original nand , all i get is could not detect nand controller
i know its not the nand x as ive tryed it on another 360 and it reads that one ok,
just not this one , i think its really deaded, knackered, kapputt, f**ck*d
this happened after i wrote xell with manwithnoname xell files then updated to xellous after that its completely deaded:(

The 'could not detect flash controller' symptom has been very common lately and it is console related in my opinion.

Try the NAND shortening trick. What's the background history of this console as well?

No not at all, your xell files are 16mb which should be 1.3 mb. So just open nandpro and extract the first 50 blocks....

My files are 16mb because they have been modified using updatemysmc tool. If you use the tool to change an original xell image it will change the file from 1.4mb to 16mb. As this worked for me flawlessly on all the HDMI consoles I jtagg'ed I decided to stick with it.

I know you use updatemysmc, it said in the program that it will make xell files 16 mb and to to run it through nand pro to read the first 50 blocks. I also put the premade 1.28 mb xell files in the Jtag tool's directory.
