HITACHI NON-79 Dead Hitachi

Hey guys.

Just a quick one - I have a Hitachi here 0047 F/W version.

The Hitachi is pretty much dead however I have managed to get the DVD key off it.

Am I right in thinking I can buy any other Hitachi to replace it, i.e. doesn't matter which F/W it has on it?

Will I have to spoof it so it appears as a 0047 F/W version?

if you gonna buy one, why not the same drive , spoofing is not allowed anymore between different drives, dont know to be honest between hitachi

why not just buy any new hitachi and swap the pcb from your broken one even just buy a new lens for the broken drive. the hardware is identicle through the hitachi models except on the pcb itself. any other version pcb would need spoofing and give you issue's

Do you not think the problem is with the PCB?

The drive doesn't eject so don't really know what has gone on it.
