Just wanted to post a situation I had with a switch that would not come out from sleep mode after playing it a while and removing it from its dock.
It was completely unresponsive and after several attempts (yes the 12 second hold the power button and the like didn't work whatsoever) I finally left it for a week to ponder my next steps. I finally decided to let the power drain from the battery, fired it up, nothing...then I thought I should check to be sure the dongle was charged. Charged the dongle and I finally got a sign of life! It showed the splash screen, allowed me to try and boot, the battery low would flash and it would die...but it was a sign of life! I charged the switch a while, attempted things with a charged dongle and managed to get to the original firmware and decided to turn off the sleep mode. Switch has been good since...hope this helps someone that has experienced a similar situation.
