TX Product(s) used: e.g J-R Programmer, CR4 XL, Xecuter Demon
Console Type: Jasper
NAND size: 16MB
Dashboard version: e.g 2.0.16756
Description of problem:
So the other day I've decided to try resurrecting one of my very first R-JTAG projects (a 16mb jasper board). The console itself was unusable from the start(DVD key lost) so it was an experimental box for trying out soldering to see if it worked or not. Because I didn't have a good soldering iron at that time, the POST points were burned beyond repair during the initial install and the NAND points may also have been damaged since I can't read the nand through it anymore (managed to get good nand dumps before though). However, I've flashed Xell into it before the South bridge failed so I was stuck with a 0022 whenever I turned it on. I've removed the rjtag board and wiring and qsbs (except for the JTAG qsb with the aud clamp) and stored it away in a sealed bag. The console was at least powering on then.
Recently, I've bought a Demon and a CR4 combo to try to make the console run again. However after installing the demon and connecting it to the pc, I noticed that there was no power going into the demon and the console wouldn't switch on at all. The pc wouldnt detect the demon as well. I removed the demon and tried to run it with the cr4 installed only but no dice. The power brick remains orange regardless of anything I try.
What could be the issue? Checked the stby_clk point for resistance yields 34-35ohms and always checked for continuity when the demon was being installed. And aside from the faulty South bridge and POST points, the only other problem I could think of is related to flashing the NaNd when the points were working originally. I have also included pics from the Demon install if it helps (had a small continuity issue, but I had that fixed before attempting any start-up).
